Listen to writers "narrate" a film clip with one of their creative works. Explore Japanese American and post-9/11 South Asian internment, and just sip cocktails with renowned writers. The day culminates in a special reading with Pulitzer Prize winner Jhumpa Lahiri, who reads from her new short story collection.
Admission: $5 per reading event; $20 for all 10 readings; $10 for literary awards and reception; $25 all day pass which includes 10 readings and reception.

Transfer: A Seminar with Naomi Shihab Nye

Poet Naomi Shihab Nye, the author and editor of over 20 volumes, leads a round table session for adults that explores how poetry can help us navigate the different phases of our lives, from youth to old age, while examining such issues as absence and presence, loss and discovery. Nye will share her own work about the death of her father.
